Beaded Easter Eggs!

Easter is a time of new beginnings, Spring, pastels and warmer weather.  It is also a time for bunnies, baskets, and jellybeans! And who can forget those colorful eggs! The Red Hat Society ladies love any reason to play, have fun and add sparkle to everything we touch.  So for this Easter we decided to put our own RHS spin to the classic Easter egg decoration.

Materials:
Small beads
Plastic eggs
Tacky glue
Tape
Paper bowl

Start with taping the top and bottom of the egg so another color can be added later.

Add tacky glue to a small section in the middle of the egg.  Working one small section at a time pour, roll or pack beads to the area of the egg that has glue on it.  Be sure to use a paper bowl underneath your egg to keep the falling beads contained in one area.  Continue until the whole egg is covered in beads.  Allow to dry for 24 hours.

To add another color to the egg.  Remove tape from the top and bottom of the egg.  Add glue and beads of a different color to both top and bottom until all areas are covered. Allow to dry.

Place your beautiful sparkle eggs in a basket and display on your table!
