In the Red Hat Society, Fitness is one of the five most important aspects of the Sisterhood. We believe that healthy Hatters are happy Hatters, and we always try to share new tips and tricks with the Sisterhood to help them live healthy lives.
Hatquarters Team Member: Lady Cranberry, Jo Elliot, recently shared with the staff Super Model Cindy Crawford's"Quick Trick Snack Stack" breakfast, which she saw on the Huffington Post. This gluten-free breakfast is fresh, healthy and absolutely scrumptious, and best of all, it takes less than two minutes to prepare!
Quick Trick Snack Stack In a bowl, layer:
Fresh fruit (on bottom)
Nuts (unsalted—your favorites)
Seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, etc.)
Dried Fruit as a topper
Lightly pour milk, almond milk or soy milk over your mixture and enjoy! (Cindy keeps all of the ingredients in a separate bowl and just takes a handful of each ingredient and puts it in the bowl for her breakfast.)
Last week, Lady Cranberry brought the ingredients to Hatquarters for a little taste-testing, and it received the Hatter approval from everyone who tried it. This bowl is packed with antioxidants, protein, healthy fats and fiber! Take a look at the pictures, and give it a try. You won't be disappointed!
