A Red Hat Virtual Costume Party

This year, The Red Hat Society hosted the first-ever Virtual Halloween Costume Party and Contest on our Facebook Page. In a Sisterhood that's all about dressing up, we thought this would be the perfect holiday to show just how creative we can be. Throughout the month of October, we challenged Hatters to come up with creative costumes using RHS Colors. Red Hatters, Members who are 50 years and older, had to wear red and purple, and Pink Hatters, Members under the age of 50, had to wear pink and lavender. The women were participating for a chance to win the title of Most Original Costume, Best Use of RHS Colors, Funniest Costume and best Group Photo.

We cannot begin to express how excited we were for the turnout of this virtual event. Hatters posted photos throughout the day, and truly amazed us with how creative they were. In fact, we had two costumes that tied for Most Original, because they were so great. The winners have been selected, and they will be featured in the Friday Broadcast, which is the Red Hat Society's weekly newsletter. A compilation of the rest of the photos will be featured in the upcoming issue of the Red Hat Society's Quarterly Magazine: Red Hatter Matters.

If you would like to see all of the costumes that were submitted you can visit our Facebook Page.
