A New Take On The Golden Age of Glamour!

The theme for 2012 is "The Stars Among Us," and as part of this theme, The Red Hat Society asked Hatters to find inspiration in the Golden Age of Glamour, which happens to be the name of this year's international convention, coming up in a few weeks. Throughout the year, Hatters have hosted outings and submitted photos of themselves dressed as their favorite classic Hollywood starlets, including: Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, Natalie Wood, Liz Taylor, Cher, Rita Hayworth and Kate Jackson... just to name a few!!

This week, Dame Jean Marie and her Exalted Scarlet Dames Chapter (California, United States), took the Golden Age of Glamour way back to the Hellenistic Era when they hosted a Red Hat Bus Trip to see Cleopatra at the California Science Center. The pictures say 1,000 words, and this looked like a really fun trip! The ladies even enjoyed a fun "Cleopatra Catwalk Strut," as they danced down the aisle of the bus.

"To answer an Age Old Secret, Cleopatra was a Red Hatter, and from the many Red Hatters on this bus trip, one could not prove otherwise," Dame Jean Marie said.

You ladies look fabulous!! Pictures like these are getting everyone so excited for the wonderful costumes we will see at the Golden Age of Glamour International Convention taking place at the end of the month! We can't wait to see you all at the Paris  Las Vegas Hotel!
