A Timeless DIY Fashion Piece

Every Hatter loves her bling! This fabulous DIY project will show you how you can take those long beaded pearl strands you may see in the accessory sections of your favorite stores or even at local craft stores. We like to think outside of the box with every project that we do, and rather than wearing the necklaces the way you might normally wear them, we wanted to show you how you can change things up and add your own  bling! This project is quick, easy and most importantly, fabulous!

Here's what you need:
-A few strands of long pearls
-Ribbon
-A fabulous brooch
-Scissors

How to assemble:
Step 1: Lay the necklaces length wise one top of each other creating a layering affect.
Step 2: Cut two strips of ribbon about 6 inches long.
Step 3: String one piece of ribbon through one side of the gathered necklace strands and tie them together in a lop-sided knot leaving extra ribbon to create the final knot.
Step 4: String the other piece of ribbon through the other side of the gathered necklace strands and tie them together in a lop-sided knot leaving extra ribbon to create the final knot.
Step 5: Bring the two sides together and tie at the the back of the neck with the extra ribbon.
Step 6: Attach your fabulous brooch wherever you would like on the necklace to add that extra bit of pizzazz!

There you have it ladies! Your own fabulous DIY Pearls with Bling necklace! This is the perfect addition to your regalia, and a glamorous accessory to get you ready for the Golden Age of Glamour International Convention. If you try this DIY project, please be sure to share your photos on the Red Hat Society's Facebook Page.Remember, you can never have too much bling in the Red Hat Society!
